and i hate when black people make fun of white parents talking to their children and explaining things to their children instead of beating them. because yeah, a lot of white kids are very disrespectful. but that has nothing to do with the fact that they didn’t receive corporeal punishment.

I think I was lucky because my dad was so adamant that no one in my family hit me as a way to reprimand me as a child. And even in the few instances that I was, I remember being more frightened of getting hit than actually understanding what had caused that punishment. Anytime anyone sat me down…
